Free Child Seat Installations
|

Effective Wednesday, April 7, 2010, there will be a new procedure for residents seeking to have their children’s car seats installed or inspected by the Hoboken Police Department.
Chief Anthony P. Falco, Sr. has announced that any Hoboken resident seeking to have a free installation or inspection of their car seats performed should report to the Hoboken Municipal Garage at Observer Highway and Park Avenue (The Hoboken Police Motorcycle Pen), on Wednesdays, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Several officers will be there to either install or inspect already installed car seats.
This is a free service performed by the Hoboken Police Department. The residents do not need to make an appointment; they can just go to the garage during the hours on Wednesdays. There is no need to go to the Hoboken Police Headquarters or to call.

Directions: Hamilton Square is closest to the Grove St. and Pavonia/Newport PATH stations, or use the Newport Light Rail stop.
Hours of operation: June 24 – Sept 6, 2010 (weather permitting). Noon to dusk, daily. Groups may reserve the course for events by calling (201) 435-8000
Fee: $5.00 per player; $4.00 for Jersey City Museum members.

The Groove on Grove is a weekly concert series feauturing local artists, that is held every Wedenesday at the Grove street Path Plaza. It's a great place to meet new people, shop local vendors and enjoy some home grown music. The series starts in June lasting through September, and is free to everyone.
